WWE Night of Champions 2012: Review, Results and What Next?

WWE Night of Champions 2012: Coverage
It is the one night of the year when every single title is defended. A night simmering with expectation. A night of which the whole complexion of the WWE can change.
This years event was hosted in the TD Garden in Boston, an appropriate venue for Champions, considering it is the home of the Boston Celtics (17 time NBA Champions).

The WWE Universe witnessed some thrilling wrestling action, and it kicked off with a Fatal-Four-Way match of which the Intercontinental Championship will be contested in.
Miz was definitely in jeopardy in this matchup, the 2 Luchadors got the battle going, but ultimately Miz retained when Sin Cara put a mask on him, he got up and gave Cody Rhodes a SkullCrushing Finalé.
Miz made a bold statement at Night of Champions, retaining it under those circumstances. Moving forward, Miz may have a next challenge in either Rhodes, Sin Cara or Mysterio. But this definitely pushes him further towards the good status he needs in order to become a top flight star once again.

Kofi Kingston and R-Truth's WWE Tag Team Title reign came to an end last night, as the unlikely pairing of Daniel Bryan and Kane defeated the team in somewhat bizarre circumstances. It all happened when the pair were in conflict, and Daniel Bryan pushed Kane off the turnbuckle onto the tag champ, it was a 3 count pin. However Kane was not aware of this. Kane and Bryan are the new tag champs!
What I don't like about this is how they threw Kofi and Truth out the way just to prioritise the Kane and Bryan saga. I think it is quite bizarre, and I'm annoyed that Truth and Kofi lost the titles the way they did. Regardless, the WWE Universe are intrigued for what is next for the tag team champions.

Antonio Cesaro grew a stronger Champion after defeating Ryder to retain his U.S. Championship. Ryder won a Battle Royal in the pre-show, but to no avail, as Cesaro defeated him.
Cesaro has been pushed further to become an established WWE SuperStar, one thing I'm disappointed with though is how they used up the Battle Royal. I would have preferred Ryder to get a shot normally then a Battle Royal in a future PPV of which the winner of the Battle Royal will go on to beat Antonio. Anyway, this has made Cesaro a better Champion.

Eve replaced an injured Kaitlyn to become New Diva's Champion after defeating Layla in a good contest. Eve has now rocketed to further heights in WWE, I think she'll have a long run as Champion and a feud with Kaitlyn too.

Randy Orton defeated Dolph Ziggler in a superb match, one which had us all on the edge of our seat. It was truly an epic contest, Orton won splits an emphatic RKO out of nowhere. Now, moving forward, this puts The Viper well in line for a World Heavyweight Championship when and if Ziggler successfully cashes in his contract. Next for Ziggler is to probably capture the title, and Orton may have another personal feud.

Sheamus retained his World Heavyweight Championship emphatically, after defeating Alberto Del Rio. Going into this match, everyone was wondering how Sheamus will win without utilising the Brogue Kick. There was no need to worry, as before the match began, Booker T came out to announce that the Brogue Kick had been reinstated. Del Rio still pushed Sheamus to the limits, and on two occasions the WWE were left wondering if Sheamus would tap to the malicious Cross Arm Breaker submission. But the tale was defined by a hellacious Brogue Kick that silenced Del Rio. Next for Sheamus will probably to take on more challengers, but for Del Rio, I'm not sure.

CM Punk and John Cena pulled of a classic match, but the only problem was that it ended in a draw, so Punk retained. This match was truly awesome, kick out after kick out. Including a Rock Bottom of which Punk did to Cena. But the match was defined when John Cena did a German Suplex of the top rope and what looked like he pinned the Champ. Cena celebrated with his home-crowd until it was announced that the match was a draw, as both athletes' shoulders were down. Punk goes on as Champion, but I don't think the rivalry is done yet. That iconic match maybe tees up a few more classics. Who will reach the epitomé of sports entertainment? There is more to this tale, I bet.

WWE Night of Champions 2012: Preview

WWE Night of Champions this Sunday comes LIVE from the TD Garden in Boston, MA. It's the one night of the year when every Championship in the WWE is on the line, creating one unforgettable night, where anything can happen. Expectations for this year are very high, and with an intriguing match card, this PPV looks very interesting. In this article, we break down and preview the matches.

Battle Royal to determine the No.1 Contender for Antonio Cesaro's United States Championship, airing on the pre show 30 minutes before the PPV.
This will leave the WWE Universe on edge for sure. This Battle Royal will make us expect the unexpected, who will become the Number 1 Contender? There is a huge backlog of superstars that could have a chance, some to consider are Alex Riley, Jinder Mahal, Damien Sandow or maybe even the Funkasaurus, Brodus Clay! Or will Santino win the Battle Royal to recapture the Gold? With a huge amount of possibilities, Antonio Cesaro must be prepared, there is a huge challenge coming his way at Night of Champions. Catch the pre show LIVE on YouTube, Facebook or WWE.com, and it airs LIVE half an hour before the show.

Layla defends her Diva's Championship against Kaitlyn.
Kaitlyn earned the right to face Layla for the Championship when she won a Battle Royal on Raw. She overcame Eve, Natalya and a few other Divas, and now will face a long time friend of her's, Layla. Kaitlyn and Layla have showed good and respectful competitive spirit in the buildup to this match, and also Kaitlyn has defeated Beth Phoenix and Natalya. Kaitlyn definitely has a lot of momentum going into Night of Champions, but Layla is also a tough competitor, and that is why she is Diva's Champion. The WWE Universe are supporters of both Kaitlyn and Layla, so the atmosphere is sure to be a good one. Will Layla continue her reign? Or will the upcoming Kaitlyn defy the odds and become Champion for the first time?

Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and R-Truth defend their titles against Daniel Bryan and Kane
The unlikely pairing of Daniel Bryan and Kane pose a huge threat to the title reigns of Kofi Kingston and R-Truth. Following several anger management sessions and procedures, it looks like Dr. Shelby has done a great job, one of which could get even better at Night of Champions, if Kane and Bryan win the titles. Both Bryan and Kane have anger management issues, but will they be able to channel their rage in to winning the titles? However, the team of Kofi Kingston and R-Truth are also exceptional, they will not go down easily. With a win over Kofi on SmackDown though, the momentum is definitely on the side of Kane and Daniel Bryan, or shall I say Daniel Bryan and Kane. Will the two be able to coexist in order to win the titles? Or will Kofi and R-Truth prevail to keep their title reign going?

Randy Orton and Dolph Ziggler square off for the possible culmination of a rivalry that has developed over recent weeks.
This all began with an astounding RKO a few weeks ago on SmackDown. Dolph Ziggler was attempting a cash in on the World Heavywight Champion, Sheamus, but Orton sabotaged this by RKOing Ziggler. This was then followed by two matches, one on Raw, of which Orton won, followed by a rematch on SmackDown of which Ziggler won. So in that respect, these two competitors are even going into Night of Champions, but however, Orton has the the momentum on his side, after gaining a victory in a tag team match on Raw, and on SmackDown he made a bold statement by turning around sensing that Ziggler was there. Ziggler then fled the ring, as the Viper looked on. Could the Show Off gain a win over the Viper? Will Ziggler gain further momentum by knocking off an all time great? Or will an emphatic RKO end the tale? Find out at Night of Champions!

The Miz defends his Intercontinental Championship in a Fatal Four Way match vs Sin Cara, Rey Mysterio and Cody Rhodes.
All odds are against The Miz in this match. This Fatal-4-Way match looks very exciting, and the whole WWE Universe are intrigued to see when Sin Cara squares off with Mysterio, two innovative high flyers! Also, Cody Rhodes and The Miz have proven that they are great competitors. Miz, Rhodes and Mysterio all know what it is like to be Intercontinental Champion. However, Sin Cara has never tasted the sensation of being a Champion in the WWE, so his desire could be stronger than the others. This will be very intriguing, The Miz only has a 25% chance of retaining the Gold. We don't know which way this match will pan out, and that is what makes it all the more exciting! Will The Miz, against all odds, retain his title under these circumstances? Will Rhodes be able to recapture the Gold he lost at Over The Limit? Will Mysterio get his hands on the title after a long time? Or will we see Sin Cara capture his first title in the WWE? There are numerous possibilities, but only one way to find out, watch Night of Champions!

Sheamus defends his World Heavyweight Championship against Alberto Del Rio.
These two superstars have had several battles in the past, but in recent memory, Del Rio has been defeated by Sheamus at Money in the Bank and SummerSlam. However, Sheamus won these matches by using his finishing move, the Brogue Kick. Following an incident two weeks ago on Raw that saw Ricardo Rodriguez take the full power of a Brogue Kick. This led to Del Rio teaming up with David Otunga to ban the Brogue Kick.
Booker T went on to ban the Brogue Kick later on that night. It left us wondering, how would Sheamus retain his World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions without utilizing the Brogue Kick? We received an immediate answer, when Sheamus made Otunga tap out to a Texas Cloverleaf submission, check it out: Could this be Del Rio's fate come Sunday? However, unlike the Brogue Kick, this cannot be hit out of nowhere, and we also learned on Raw that if Sheamus does use the Brogue Kick, he will be stripped of his World Heavyweight Championship. The Mexican Artisocrat has gotten the Brogue Kick out of the way, so could this be his time to finally capture his destiny? Could he be crowned the new World Heavyweight Champion? Or will Sheamus continue his reign? Find out at Night of Champions!

CM Punk defends his WWE Championship against John Cena.http://www.wwe.com/f/styles/ep_large/public/ep/image/2012/08/20120829_LIGHT_NOC_cenapunk2_R.jpgCM Punk's quest for respect may have went too far, including a devastating attack on Jerry "The King" Lawler. John Cena says that Punk overstepped the line, and the WWE Universe partially agree. However, this is CM Punk's first PPV Main Event since TLC 2011, so CM Punk will be looking to make the most of it, by earning the respect of which he claims he rightfully deserves. John Cena will fight Punk in his home state of Massachusetts, could Cena have the backing to reclaim the title. Cena has said that this is one of the longest amounts of time which he has been without the most coveted prize in sports entertainment, so could his drive be enough to end Punk's title reign lasting as of Survivor Series 2011? CM Punk managed to retain the title at SummerSlam in a Triple Threat, when Cena gave Big Show an Attitude Adjustment but Punk threw him out the ring to capitalize and retain. Ever since then, Cena has been determined to recapture the coveted WWE Championship, and tonight, Cena may have the chance to do so. This week on Raw, we saw Bret Hart return to Montreal, and when interviewing Cena, he was interrupted by the WWE Champion, CM Punk. The two exchanged strong words going into Night of Champions, and the boldest statement of all was when Cena told Punk about the real respect.

This perfectly sets the stage for Night of Champions, this main event should be exceptional, this match not only defines the WWE Champion, but also it can define these men's career. And also, not to forget the possible role of Paul Heyman, will he have an effect in this match? Punk's quest for respect goes through John Cena tonight. Will he earn the respect by overthrowing Cena in his home state? Or will Cena finally capture the title once again? Find out tonight!

TONIGHT: The WWE can get turned upside down, as every single title is on the line! All these questions get answered tonight, when Night of Champions comes LIVE from the TD Garden in Boston, MA! The WWE Universe are in for a treat tonight, on this unique night of the unexpected, intrigued by the numerous possibilities. This should be an unforgettable event.

5 Possible Opponents for The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29

It is arguably one of the most prestigious and respected streaks in sports entertainment, the legendary WrestleMania 20 - 0 streak from the Undertaker has given us some of the greatest and most compelling matches in WWE matches to this very day.
Next year, WrestleMania 29 comes from the Met Life Stadium in NY, and the WWE Universe are expecting another heart-pounding match that puts the Undertaker's streak is jeopardy.
But who? Speculation has been running rampant about who Undertaker will face at WrestleMania 29, and we have picked 5 possible opponents.

1 - Brock Lesnar
Come on now, we have seen this rivalry during the Attitude Era and it was epic. The Hell in a Cell match they had was awesome, and with Lesnar's contract expiring after WrestleMania 29, this match would definitely bring in a global audience. Ever since Lesnar has returned to WWE he has been part of 2 matches he lost to Cena in an Extreme Rules match but dominated Triple H (who has faced Undertaker 3 times at WrestleMania) at SummerSlam. He is already proving himself as a very dangerous threat, and with Brock being a Heel monster, only Taker looks like a good opponent for him. The storyline could also be interesting with Lesnar teasing HHH that he will do what HHH or 16 other people couldn't do and that is to end The Undertaker's legendary streak. And also not to mention a personal rivalry that developed a few years ago, this has all the makings for a classic, we would love to see this match.

2 - John Cena
Everybody wants this match to happen, regardless of the outcome. These 2 are very different from each other, their gimmick, style, etc. Cena has faced Taker once of which he lost. Also, there was a 6-man tag match on Raw years ago where Taker/Cena were tag team partners and right after they won the match, Taker shockingly tombstoned Cena. John Cena did not say anything to Taker regarding that or mentioned It. This match would truly be a classic, John Cena is the face of the WWE, and he would be immortified if he defeats The Streak. This match would truly be a spectacle, we all want to see this, and we could at WrestleMania 29.

3 - The Rock
The Rock has only wrestled two matches since returning to WWE, but in both of http://gyazo.com/a98c8b84143ef4865aaa9551cf9b48e3.png?1347102524them, he has proven to everyone, that he still has what it takes to be The Great One. Before defeating Cena he said that The Leader of the CeNation would be his last challenge before he becomes the Greatest Superstar in history. Now, one can't accomplish everything without defeating The Streak. Something which Rock would see as a huge challenge, a match that would be quite compelling. Will The Great One be next to take on The Undertaker?

4 - Wade Barrett Not all will be a fan of this matchup, but if WWE build Wade Barrett to become a big "Heel" in the WWE, this matchup would work. It all depends on how well the WWE can make Barrett to become a huge significance and pose a legitimate threat to the Streak. Remember, it was Barrett who gave the Undertaker a Wasteland finisher on Episode 900 of Raw, and it was Barrett (as part of Nexus) who buried the Undertaker for Kane in Bragging Rights 2010. Given the right time, this feud could go well, and there is a possibility of him facing Taker at WrestleMania 29.

5 - Sheamus
The Celtic Warrior has been on a huge roll now for several months, and ever since he captured the World Heavyweight Championship, he has looked unstoppable. Being one of the top WWE superstars today, Sheamus looks very capable of giving the Undertaker a great match for the streak. He has claimed that he loves to fight, and has proven it every night in the WWE. Sheamus wants to fight Taker, and if this is at WrestleMania 29, it could be a great match for sure.

These 5 superstars look very capable of facing the Undertaker and posing a legitimate threat to the Streak. WrestleMania 29 is still over half a year away, so things could definitely change, regardless, Undertaker has his work cut out for WrestleMania 29...

WWE Raw 20th August 2012 Episode 1004 - Post Coverage and Review

Hot on the heels of a superb night of which was the 25th Anniversary of SummerSlam, Episode 1004 of Monday Night Raw came LIVE from Fresno, CA. This show was to answer many questions, and begin the next chapter in WWE history.
http://www.wwe.com/f/styles/ep_full/public/ep/image/2012/08/20120819_LARGE_raw_preview_HHH_brock_L.jpg
Kicking off the show was Brock Lesnar and his advocate Paul Heyman. Lesnar prevailed the previous night at SummerSlam by defeating Triple H with the deadly Kimura Lock. What words did he have to say to the WWE Universe?
Heyman did most of the talking and gloating, and he spoke about how Lesnar made Triple H give up on his friends, his family, and the whole WWE Universe. Brock Lesnar asked for the referee of last night's match, Scott Armstrong to come out to the ring, and when he did Lesnae said two words to him, "Good Job". Paul Heyman also went on to declare Brock Lesnar as the New King of Kings, the Lord, the Master, and judging by his performance at SummerSlam, that is quite a legitimate claim. Lesnar remains unstoppable, and now we wonder, where will the pain go next?

Next up was a 6 man tag team match, as the Tag Team Champs Kofi Kingston and R-Truth (who defended their titles the previous night) teaming up with Sin Cara to take on the Prime Time Players and Cody Rhodes.
After some back and forth tag team action, the match reached its climax when Rhodes was in the ring with a high momentum Sin Cara who performed an insiguri and hurricanrana on Rhodes before a crossbody and the pin. The Prime Time Players broke up the pin before R-Truth and Kofi drop-kicked them before Kofi went airborne taking down the Prime Time Players. Cody Rhodes then tried to unmask Sin Cara, but Sin Cara got him in the pin to win the match.

Do not say Crazy!
It then went over to Matt Striker, who had the General Manager, AJ Lee for a short interview. Then we saw David Otunga return from making his movie. He said that AJ needs someone to look after her, and if anyone calls her crazy, he will file a lawsuit immediately. AJ responded to the word crazy, by saying I can use your services... In the ring tonight, and I'll choose the opponent.
We've learnt that one should never say the word "Crazy" to the GM, otherwise they will have trouble in the ring.

Feed Me More!
It was now feeding time for Ryback, taking on 2 athletes in a tornado handicap match. He was dishing out utter destruction, before Jinder Mahal interrupted with an attack, and locked in the Camel Clutch. But with unbelievable power, Ryback lifted him up and dropped him then Jinder Mahal fled as Ryback made a statement with his finisher. This rivalry has furthermore intensified.

High Stakes Clash
Backstage we saw Chris Jericho, then Dolph Ziggler came an asked for a rematch. Before they were to argue, GM AJ Lee made a huge match, Ziggler v Jericho, and the stakes were high. If Jericho lost his contract will be terminated, if Ziggler lost he would give his MITB contract to Jericho. The match was high stakes and was to bring out the best of those athletes.

Robbed from the Title
Del Rio was in the ring next talking about how he got robbed at SummerSlam. In all honestly, it was clear that he was robbed, but the referee did not see. Del Rio demanded a rematch straight away, but instead AJ came out and gave Del Rio a match against the Viper, Randy Orton!
Sheamus was at ringside to watch the action unfold, it was quite a good contest and conclude when Ricardo Rodriguez got on the apron and Orton went to get him but he jumped of the apron straight to Sheamus. Orton stared at Sheamus before Del Rio got a back-breaker from behind but Del Rio could not cover him as he got his foot on the rope. Sheamus was angered by this and he turned straight into an emphatic RKO. Orton wins.

 Lesnar Leaves
We received a Tout from Lesnar where he said he is retiring and never coming back to the WWE because he has nothing else left to conquer. If this is the case, Lesnar has left a deep trace in WWE history.

Funkasaurus loses, but gains upper hand
The Funkasuarus, Brodus Clay was in action next, with a huge challenge in front of him, that being, the Intellectual Saviour of the Masses, Damien Sandow.
Clay dominated the majority of the match, but Sandow won when he moved out the way of Brodus who crashed into the turnbuckle before a roll-up pin. As he was embracing in celebration, Brodus Clay came behind and slammed down Sandow before a gigantic splash and dancing in the ring.

Game Over?
Next, the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels was LIVE via satellite from his home in Texas. He delivered very strong and emotional words, and said he lied to Triple H, and should have told him that he doesn't think The Game would have beaten Lesnar. Tears in his eyes, he said there was nothing for HHH to be ashamed of. If this is the end of the Game, what an incredible career. Thank You Triple H.

Angry Giant
Following a commercial break, David Otunga  was in action, his opponent was a very angry giant, Big Show. He destroyed David Otunga, finished it with a WMD, and stormed out. Big Show is extremely angry and very dangerous, will this power him to the heights of the roster again?

Anger Management
Next up, AJ had made a match that would make Daniel Bryan and Kane manage their anger, by teaming up with opponents that they don't get along with. Kane was teaming up with Zack Ryder to take on The Miz and Daniel Bryan.
They managed to co exist for a short while, until Kane was tagged in and Bryan wanted to tag out but Miz refused. So Bryan slapped Kane who went absolutely nuts and chased down Bryan who escaped. He unleashed his anger by destroying the outside area and destroying Ryder with a Chokeslam and Tombstone Piledriver before storming off backstage.
Kane has became angrier and angrier, unable to contain his anger, who will be next in his path of destruction?

New No.1 Contender
Then there was a Diva's Battle Royal to determine No.1 contender for Layla's Divas Championship. The final two were Eve and Kaitlyn, and it took two clotheslines to eliminate Eve. Kaitlyn will now face Layla for the title at some point in the future.

Jericho Leaves
It was then time for a huge high stakes match, CONTRACT v CONTRACT. If Jericho lost he would have his contract terminated, if Ziggler lost, he would have to give his MITB briefcase to Jericho. These incentives were to push both wrestlers to the boundaries of their ability, and they pulled off a great match.
With superb moved, it concluded when Jericho went for the Lionsault but it was met by indeed straight to the ribs, Jericho was then on the receiving and of a ZigZag and pinned. Then as Ziggler was showing off, Jericho got the briefcase, hit it on Ziggler before a Codebreaker. What a career for Jericho, an all time WWE great, he will be missed, but what a match to go out on.

Respect?
CM Punk was next in the ring, and to finish the show he had an important announcement in regards to his Night of Champions opponent. He first went up to the announce table and asked Lawler to admit that he was wrong, after refusing, Punk told him to apologise, but then out came John Cena. And CM Punk went on about respect and how he was below The Rock, Triple H and John Cena. He had enough, and wanted to get the respect that he deserved, and not to be taking the back seat. He made Cena the No.1 Contender because he wants and has to defeat Cena again, so this time it will matter more, and he will earn respect. He made a huge ultimatum, that if Cena wants the title match, all he has to do is admit that CM Punk is the Best in the World.
In response, John Cena spoke about how his relationship win the fans is based on respect. He made an example of someone supporting a team and them not winning, you wouldn't move you would still support them. The crowd cheered to his valid points, and he refused to call CM Punk the Best in the World saying that he must know he is the best to achieve. Cena got very passionate on the microphone about believing in himself to succeed. He said that he will not sacrifice his integrity to stroke Punk's ego, and let him choose whoever he wants. He left the choice to Punk, before saying he has no respect for by title or himself.
Punk went on to invite Lawler to be ring, and told him to apologise. He said to Lawler that he went to far, and Lawler apologised. But CM Punk said he is not finished as he left, and ordered Lawler to say Punk is the Best in the World, Lawler refused to do it. And then as he exited the ring, CM Punk kicked him in the back. The crowd were disgraced, as Punk looked on at the crowd, and that is now the show ended.

This leaves a lot to be answered still. But tonight, we have potentially lost Lesnar, Triple H and Jericho. What impact will their departures have on the complexion of the WWE? And will Cena be the No.1 Contender? Find out next week!

WWE Raw Tonight: The Day After SummerSlam: Game Over?

Right on the heels of a superb night in Los Angeles, SummerSlam, now etched into history, writes the next chapter for WWE, as Episode 1004 comes LIVE from Fresno, California, with a lot to be answered following an outstanding night of which was the 25th Anniversary of SummerSlam.
http://www.wwe.com/f/styles/ep_full/public/ep/image/2012/08/20120819_LARGE_raw_preview_HHH_brock_L.jpg

We saw Chris Jericho emphatically defeat Dolph Ziggler by making him tap out to the Walls of Jericho. It was a great finish to a great match, and immediately after, Dolph Ziggler used Tout to ask for a rematch.
Will it be accepted? Could we see a sequel to the amazing match that started last night's PPV? What more must these athletes prove to establish that they can win the Big One? We will find out tonight.

Daniel Bryan got a shock victory over Kane last night at SummerSlam, which occurred when Kane was going for a Tombstone Piledriver of which was fuelled by a slap that Bryan gave Kane just moments earlier. Bryan reversed it into the roll up pin and got a victory before immediately fleeing the ring.
Kane was very angry from this, and as he stormed backstage in search of Daniel Bryan, Josh Matthews wanted a short interview, but Kane lashed out by throwing him into the crates. In reaction to this, the Raw General Manager, AJ (@WWEAJLee on Twitter) tweeted the following.
What will Kane's punishment be? And how will this rivalry continue? Where will Kane's destruction lead him to? And what is next for Daniel Bryan?

Also, last night we saw The Intercontinental Champion, The Miz, successfully ground Rey Mysterio to the extent of a successful title defence. Miz got the victory when Mysterio hit the 619, and when to the top rope for The Splash but missed. Then when both men regrouped, Rey Mysterio came running at The Miz who threw him into the air face first into the turnbuckle. Miz then finished off a dazed Rey Mysterio with the SkullCrushing Finale for the victory.
What is next for the Intercontinental Champion? And what will be next in Rey Mysterio's pursuit?

Kofi Kingston and R-Truth successfully defended their WWE Tag Team Titles, as they prevailed over the Prime Time Players, of who gave them a real challenge for the titles. The match was won when Kofi went high flying over the ropes to Titus O'Neil, as R-Truth looked on. Darren Young got a roll up pin from behind but R-Truth kicked out before a Lil Jimmy finisher to retain.
The competition in the Tag Team Division is sure to determine New No.1 Contenders, of course they could be the Prime Time Players. Kofi and Truth are at the top but for how long will they stay there?

Sheamus successfully defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Alberto Del Rio in controversial fashion. Following a very close contest, in order to give Del Rio an advantage, Ricardo Rodriguez got up upon the apron and threw a shoe to Del Rio, it fell to Sheamus instead. And with the referee's back turned, he was to throw it at Alberto's face followed by an Irish Curse, then a pinfall. Del Rio got his foot on the rope but the ref did not see and Sheamus took it off to retain his title. After the match Del Rio protested against the decision and to Booker T, and we received word that Booker will address it this Friday on SmackDown. But what about tonight? Will Del Rio take matters into his own hands? What is coming to Sheamus?

CM Punk may have earned the Respect he has been campaigning for after retaining his title in a Triple Threat match last night. The match reached its climax when Cena and Punk had submissions locked in on Big Show, who tapped. But there was no initial winner, so to sort the issue, the Raw GM, AJ Lee, restarted the match. Punk and Cena were furious of this decision and they turned around into Big Show who delivered an emphatic Double Chokeslam, but it was not enough to pin either of them. The match ended when Cena gave Big Show a huge Attitude Adjustment, and Punk threw Cena out the ring to pin Big Show and retain his title? Has CM Punk earned the respect of the WWE Universe? Who will be his next opponent? How will Cena recuperate after his defeat? And what is next for the World's Largest Athlete?

Brock Lesnar and Triple H collided in a huge main event, where it was The Perfect Storm coming to Play The Game. The stars were out to witness these two beasts go at it at the Biggest Event of the Summer. Both men looked in great shape and were ready to fight, and what a superb match they had. Both men showed incredible amounts of resilience, fighting through intense pain. The match concluded when Brock Lesnar was dishing out a beating to The Game, and it was furthermore painful as the referee was letting them fight. Triple H was on the end of a devastating F5, but he kicked out before moments later delivering his second Pedigree. He went for the pinfall but Lesnar locked him in the deadly Kimura Lock and had it tight, before breaking the arm once again of The Game and making him tap out. Brock Lesnar emphatically stood tall over The Game, before leaving the ring. We then saw Triple H resist medical attention for what almost indefinitely looked like a broken arm. He got up, looked at the fans who were chanting "YOU TAPPED OUT" and said he was sorry before walking up the ramp, and one question came to mind? Is it Game Over?

Will Triple H now retire? Is this too much for him to come back from? And the Perfect Storm maybe over, but where is Lesnar's destruction coming to next?

RAW TONIGHT:

Brock Lesnar will kick off the show, but what words will he have for the WWE Universe? Will he tell us what is next?
Also, will we see Triple H? And could it be Game Over?

Shawn Michaels will address last night's happenings via Satellite, he has spoken to Triple H on the phone, so does he have a message?

Episode 1004 will answer many questions from last night's SummerSlam. And begin the new chapter of WWE.
