He was also part of the Triple Threat match again at Survivor Series for the WWE Champion, He still couldn't win due to The Shield Who he has a heated rivalry with at the moment.
He has been looked too weak for the past months because of losing to Punk at HIAC, SS and then The Shield at TLC. So the best way to build him back would be to have him win the Royal Rumble and go for the WWE Champion or World Heavyweight Champion at Wrestlemania 29.
2. John Cena who has had such a terrible 2012 but winning the Royal Rumble would be a great start of 2013 for him. John Cena winning the Royal Rumble will also play a huge role in the Punk/Rock WWE Title match at the Rumble.
If The Rock wins the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble and John Cena wins the Royal Rumble then It's likely that we will see the 2 have a rematch again at Wrestlemania 29, However they're still not breaking their "Once In A Life" time rule since Cena would have won the Rumble so It would make sense.
If John Cena wins the Royal Rumble, that would be his second since He has also won the Royal Rumble 2008, Out of everyone people think will win the Royal Rumble John Cena is the most likely to win this years Royal Rumble.
3. Sheamus - few days ago reports came out that said WWE wants Sheamus to win the Royal Rumble again this year, Which will set up Sheamus vs a Heel Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Champion at Wrestlemania.
At Hell In A Cell 2012, we crowned a New World Heavyweight Champion Big
Show, and then Sheamus got his rematch again at Survivor Series but the
Celtic Warrior still lost. He had a chairs match at TLC again, Which was
a great match but Big Show still some how won. Sheamus had a match
against Daniel Bryan at Wrestlemania 28 which lasted 18 seconds and He
became the World Heavyweight Champion. He did have his wrestlemania
moment regardless of it being 18 seconds. Sheamus had a fine 2012 but
with his last 3 losses, The Celtic Warrior can be real dangerious by
winning the Royal Rumble twice which not many has done.Surprisingly, Sheamus won the Royal Rumble last year which not many expected by eliminating Chris Jericho. Same way, WWE can shock us again this year by having Sheamus win the Rumble again.
